I was speaking to a friend of mine yesterday and this was something we ended up talking about. It's something that I believe some of us have found difficult to do in the beginning of our walk with Jesus.
It is understandable that reading the Bible can be very full-on and somewhat complicated to understand without fully asking for help and guidance from the Holy Spirit and with the help of our spiritual advisers, whether it's a Pastor or Bishop.
We would go to church and we would think to ourselves 'I understand what the Word is saying but how do I physically put this into practice when I leave the church doors? Good question.
Is it because I'm not spiritual enough or is it because it is just plain hard to do? Well the answer is no and yes.
We'll I'm going to let my friend Joceline* share her story about her experience with this topic and then I'll come back at the end.
Hi everyone thank you so much. Of course I've seen and heard in the Word of God that it says that God will make a difference between those who serve Him and those who don't. And that's what I take with me every single day, everywhere. (Malachi 3:18)
At work, I want to not only be the difference but I want to see God's reply as well. Because if I'm doing my part then God should do His part.
So, as I've been using it always with my studies, as well, I've always wanted to be different. I've always wanted to have high marks, regardless of my background, new country, I didn't care. But I wanted to the difference through my testimony.
And the most recent one has been with my work where God has been continually showing the difference. Although things are happening externally, and almost everyone is getting affected. I did feel pressured at a certain moment where I thought 'oh my God' everyone is going through the same.
That is where the problem was, because I could either accept the same where Ninety-nine percent of the people were affected. But that one percent is what I built my faith on.
So with the whole situation with COVID-19 my job was at risk and I would probably get substituted... My director could do my job. And I just said God may Your will be done. And I lived on that Word as what Shawna is talking about here, that I needed to put my faith into action.
Putting your faith in action is not being a crazy person and start doing crazy things, but you back it with prayer and Fasting so you can be sure about what you're doing. Because, once you have doubts then thats not faith anymore. I literally put my faith into practice.
Everytime I would recieve any negative words I would reject them. I won't accept this. So as I continued praying and I said God may your will be done. And the next day after I made that decision inside of me, I got a call from my manager saying that I should go back to work and everyone will be back to normal.
I got an email saying I was not at risk at all. Although they didn't need me, and for me that was it. It was done.
So there you go guys, real people sharing thier real stories with you. I will continue with this serious for the next few posts about putting our faith in action in different areas of our lives.
Faith in God is not about following a religion. It's about having a personal relationship with Jesus. Which is why He died so that we can have this free access to Him again, where there's no longer a Priest sacrificing an animal on behalf of our sins everytime we make a mistake. We can go directly to Him in boldness and He himself will respond to us.

Until next time.
